The equipment listed is offered for the personal use of CUCPS members, and not for their further sale for profit. If you pass any on to non-members, it will be appreciated if you encourage them to join. The society shall endeavour to allocate equipment fairly, taking into account the proposed uses by the members, and whether it is a component of a larger system already owned by members or by the society, but in all cases the final decision rests with the Committee and the Equipment Officer. The Committee may choose for some of the hardware offered to be retained for the general use of the Society as set out in the Constitution. Computer equipment is offered free to CUCPS members AS IS, not sold. The descriptions of equipment are supplied in good faith, but may be based on information supplied by others, and are not guaranteed to be accurate. The member collecting equipment takes all responsibility for ensuring that it is as described, and suitable for any purpose for which they want it. Equipment supplied may be non-functional, incomplete, or unsafe. It is the responsibility of the member collecting it to carry out any necessary testing and repair; but where we have spare equipment it may be possible to exchange something non-functional for another similar piece of equipment. Equipment supplied by CUCPS comes with NO WARRANTY, and the Committee can accept no responsibility for any deficiency whatsoever, or for any loss or damage arising from the use of equipment or information supplied by CUCPS.
